These paintings are oriented horizontally, presupposing a landscape.

The ‘given’ earth-bound palette of the envelopes echoes this notion.

The pieces are made using stacked compositions that further suggest the    strata of the earth and the horizontal bands within the landscape.

Each piece is individual yet reliant upon the others in the series.

The swatches of glued paper operate like brushstrokes of paint.
